Hi! with the new month, I want to read in July.
Physical books
1- House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas
This is a fantasy novel by one of my favorite authors. I love the world-building in this series and the writing of this book so far. I have not read Fantasy in months, and I’ve missed the genre, so I can’t that long of a break from the genre for more than a month or so I’ve learned.
2- Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake
This queer romance has been getting a lot of buzz recently. I can’t wait to read it for myself and make my own opinion about it. The cover of this novel is so cute, and I love how the color is lavender, so I hope the novel is just as cute as the cover.
3- It Only Happens in the Movie by Holly Bourne
I’m doing a reading game with a discord, and they picked this book for a poll pick. I’m excited to read it because I’ve had it for ages, and I want to finally read this book. This seems like a Rom-Com, and I want a summer Rom-Com right now, and I love the Rom-Com movies.
4- The Trails of Apollo # 3
I’m in the middle of this series for Percy Jackson book club, and these are the books we are reading this month. This series is very good so far, and I love the characters and the story so far. Between the three series I’ve read, this one is my second favorite behind Percy Jackson.
Ebooks
5- Eliza and Her Monsters
I am doing a buddy read of this with members of the discord I mentioned before. I already started it, and I am loving this reread. I am excited to continue and reread one of my favorite stories in the last few years. Eliza is a fantastic character, and I can relate to her in several ways. I wish that I had a way to display this book, so I might need to get a physical copy for my favorite shelf.
6- Conventionally Yours
I needed a blue cover for the game I’m playing on a Discord. I forgot that I downloaded this on Prime Reading, and I can’t wait to read this. I love cons and fandom, so I can’t wait to read this story, and see how these characters are, and how the story is. I believe there is a dash of romance in the story, and I love romance in my stories. I can relate to characters who are a part of their fandoms, and I love seeing what others do for their fandom.
7- In Deeper Waters
I have this book from a book swap. I’m enjoying the story so far, it’s not the style of book I would usually go far, but I am enjoying what I’ve read so far. The characters are fun, and the story is good so far. I can’t wait to see if the characters end up together, and I’m enjoying their banter.
Continue from June for Blog Tours
8- It’s All In How You Fall by Sarah Henning
I have this blog tour in July, and I’m loving this story and the characters so far. I love Caroline and Alex as characters, and the sublet romance plot of this story so far. Caroline is a gymnast who had to stop due to back problems, and I love seeing dancers and gymnasts in books.
9- Etta Invincible by Reese Eschmann
This is a fun Middle-Grade novel about a girl with hearing loss, and a boy who is new to the country, trying to find the boy’s dog on a magical train. I wanted to read this because as someone who is also heard of hearing; I love seeing people who are also hard of hearing in books. The story is fun, and the characters are fantastic.
10- Bad at Love by Gabriela Martins
I signed up for this one because of the demi-sexual rep in the book. I was not expecting to find a story about two teens who are great characters, and who also have a great story. I love both Sasha and Daniel already, and I can’t wait to see where their story will go as I read the story.
Audio Book
11- Epically Earnest by Molly Horan
I’ve never read The Importance of Being Earnest, but I saw this last year or earlier this year, and I can’t wait to check out the audiobook. This is a queer retelling, and if you know me, you know that I love a good book with queer characters in them.
