Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. This weekly meme is inspired by our love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will write our list based on that prompt. We also have the option of doing our own thing if we don’t have any ideas for that topic that week. This week’s topic is Books on our winter 2023 TBR, and this works out perfectly for me, because I am trying to be good, and plan my January TBR early. Here are the books I hope to read next month.
Physical Books
1-The Wicked King by Holly Black
I’m going to be reading the second book in the Folk of Air Trilogy so I can continue the series with the third book, and novella next year. This will be a buddy read with a bunch of members of the Bookish Reality Discord Server. I’m excited to continue the story and finish the series next year.
2-Loathe to Love You (ARC) by Ali Hazelwood
I got this ARC as a Goodreads Giveaway win. It comes out next month, and after reading The Love Hypothesis this year, I’m excited to see what these novellas have in store. There’s just something about reading a romance in the winter that really hits the vibes for me.
3&4Here There Be Gerblins and Murder on the Rockport Express (The Adventure Zone Graphic Novels 1 & 2) by Clint, Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy
I love The Adventure Zone Podcast, and I loved these novels. I’m going to reread all of them in preparation of the fifth comic coming out next year. I’m excited to revisit this comic series based on the first campaign of The Adventure Zone podcast.
5-Harrow the Ninth? (I need to make sure I can get a copy)
I’m reading Gideon the Ninth right now, and I’m loving it. I want to grab the rest of the books out now. I wasn’t sure if this series was going to be for me, but I’m loving it a lot and it’s a welcomed change from my usual genre.
6-Begin Again by Emma Lord (Out 1/24)
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I pre-order every new Emma Lord book that comes out. I’m very excited to read Emma Lord’s debut in the NA genre, and I’m wondering how she will write a story about college students.
7-Reggie and Delilah’s Year of Falling (out 1/31) by Elise Bryant
I’ve been meaning to read this author’s books for a few years, as they all seem to be books I would enjoy. This one follows a Punk Rock singer and a D&D DM. I am so excited about this book, and will be pre-ordering the book before its release!
Ebooks (Owned)
8-Well Met-
Well Met is a book that has been sitting in my kindle for years. The COYER community book club will be reading this in January, so it’s the perfect opportunity to finally read it.
Library Books(Ebooks)
I have so many Libary books coming in the next few weeks, luckily some of these are graphic novels that can be read in a week. That’s why you don’t see many owned Ebooks on my TBR for next month.
9-Drama by Rania Telegemeir -4 weeks
I’ve wanted to read this Graphic Novel for years.
10-Dungeons & Dragons Roll Call by Molly Knox Ostertag-4 weeks
I saw this advertised on Goodreads a few weeks ago, and I joined the list as quickly as I could. I’m trying to do a challenge where I read more manga, comics, and Graphic Novels next year.
11-The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani- 4 weeks
I’m going to try and read this book before I watch the show! I’m excited to read it.
12-The Book Wanders by Anna James -4 weeks
This book has been on my TBR for years, and I’m finally going to read it!
13-Twelfth Grade Night by Molly Horton Booth-4 weeks
A modern retelling of Twelfth Night?! Sign me up! I’m so excited to read this.
14-Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin-5 weeks
I’ve heard fantastic things about this book. I’m also a gamer, so I’m excited to read this book about the video game industry.
I keep meaning to read Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow as well!
