Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme where Jana posts a topic, and the book blogging community comes together, and posts out lists. There is also the option of doing our own thing. This week our topic is-Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read (Submitted by Dedra @ A Book Wanderer). I wasn’t really feeling that topic, so I went back to the archives and found this topic. I thought it would be fun to look at the elements that draw me to pick up a book.
1- Music
2- Nerdy Characters
3- Fandom
4- The book is a contemporary title
5- Found Family
6- Queer characters
7- Video Games or Gaming
8- A sweet romance
9- An Interesting Synopsis
10- Having an interesting cover
What a nice list!

I do love a book with nerdy and/or queer characters, and an interesting cover has been known to draw my attention. Great list this week, and I enjoy your spin on this week’s topic.

Have you read any T.J.Klune? – he has virtually all of the elements that you love in his books.

As it checks off a few of your draws, a fun book I read last month that you may enjoy is The Victoria in My Head by Janelle Milanes. It is a YA contemporary where a high school junior tries to find the balance between pleasing her parents and herself. The chapter titles are all songs that make up a 3-hour playlist on Spotify.

Love a good contemporary AND sweet romance. Luckily those two often go together. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week. Apologies it took this long to visit here.
