Hi! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreadergirl. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Janna will post a prompt, and we readers will post our list based on that prompt. We also have the option of doing our own thing if we don’t have any idea for the weekly topic. This week, our topic is Bookish Wishes (List the top 10 books you’d love to own and include a link to your wishlist so that people can grant your wish. Make sure you link your wishlist to your mailing address [here’s how to do it on Amazon] or include the email address associated with your ereader in the list description so people know how to get the book to you. I’m doing a new spin on the topic because there are so many releases that I want to read this year but I haven’t yet. 

1- Great or Nothing by Joy McCullough

I love Little Women, and this is a new take on the story. I can’t wait to see what this story is about and see the new characters. 

2- Just Your Local Bisexual Disaster by Andrea Mosqueda

If you’ve read this blog before, you know that I love a good queer story. I can’t wait to read this story. The main character in this book seems so sweet, and I want to know her story.

3-You, Me, and Our Heartstrings by Melissa See

You, Me, and Our Heartstrings seems like a sweet story about Daisy and Noah, two high school musicians who want to use the school concert as a way to land a Juilliard audition. Noah is a cello player from a long line of musicians, and Daisy is an independent violin player. I love the fact that Daisy is disabled, as we don’t see many characters like that in books.     

4- Sofia Acosta Makes A Scene by Emma Otheguy

I love stories about people in theater, music, or dance, and this follows a dancer. This also seems like a story that is important about how our world is today.  

5- The Greatest Thing by Sarah Winifred Searle

I had to add this Graphic Novel to my TBR when I saw it, and I had to add it to my list this week. This story follows three friends in their sophomore year of high school who are starting to grow apart. I want to read this because it seems like a great story.  

6-A Duet For Home by Karina Yan Glaser

This is another story that follows two kids and has a music element. I enjoyed the first book I read by Karina Yan Glaser, so I want to see what she does with this book as well. I love Middle-Grade, and this seems like another important story that needs to be told.  

7-Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail by Ashley Herring Blake

I’m reading Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by this author next month, and this is the second book, or at least a companion to that. I love queer romance novels, and there has been a lot of hype for the other novel.  

8- Acting the Part by Z.R. Ellor

A novel about a queer teen actor?! Sign me up! I honestly just want to read this book because it follows a queer actor, and it looks like the main character goes on a journey. 

9-Ben and Beatriz by Katalina Gamarra

I love Shakespeare, and I love reading retellings. I can’t wait to read this one and see this take on Much Ado About Nothing.  

10-Never Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales

Sophie Gonzales is an auto-buy author for me now. I loved Perfect on Paper, and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for this book. A girl entering a reality dating show to get revenge on her ex boy-friend and then falling for the girl her ex left her for? Sign me up!!! I want to pre-order this before it comes out.
