Welcome Back! Jana hosts Top Ten Tuesday @thatartsyreader. This meme was born out of a love of lists and bringing the book blogging community together. Each week, Jana will post a prompt, and we readers will post our list as a response. We also have the option of doing our own thing if we would like. Our topic this week is 2021 releases we wanted to read but didn’t get to. I had a lot of fun with this one.
1- When You Get the Chance by Tom Ryan
This is an LGBTQ+ novel about going on a road trip to Canadian pride. I want to get a copy and read it this year.
2-Never Saw You Coming by Erin Hahn
I saw little buzz about this book, but I still want to read it. This is a YA Contemporary about finding yourself, which I love.
3-Our Way Back to Always by Nina Moreno
Of all the books on this list, I think this one is one of the top releases I wanted to read but never got to. Former best friends who haven’t spoken in fours years rekindling their friendship and maybe even more?! Sign me up!
4- We can’t Keep Meeting Like This by Rachel Lynn Solomon
I had plans to get a copy of and read this book last year around the time I was reading Today, Tonight, Tomorrow. I never did, but this is so high on my list of books to read because it’s about a harpist, and I love books about music. Also, this sounds so cute.
5- Phantom Hearts by Kelly Creagh
A Phantom of the Opera retelling where the main character shares my first name?! Sign me up! I have a challenge prompt this year for a book where the main character shares the first letter of your first or last name, so this is going to be read this year when I get a copy.
6- As If On Cue by Marisa Kanter
This is a theater student and choir kid enemies to maybe more. If you know me from the blog or social media, you know why I want to read this. I want to get a copy and read it this year.
7- Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jagirdar
I’m all the heart eyes over this story about fake dating and developing feelings for each other. Also, I’m all over reading LGBTQ+ stories.
8- How Moon Fuentez Fell in Love with the Universe by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland
I grabbed the Ebook or audio of this from Simon & Schuster as a part of their survey rewards program. I’m going to read it at some point this year, and I’m very excited.
9- Everything In Between by Nikki Barthelmess
I was on the book tour for this, but I did a promotional post. I want to read this to see where the story goes.
10- Aristotle and Dante Dive into Waters Around the World by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
I read the first book years ago, and I want to reread it so I can read the sequel this year as well. I can’t wait to see where Aristotle and Dante are now, and where their adventures take them.
When You Get the Chance sure sounds good!

I got the Aristotle & Dante book for review from the publisher but I haven’t read the first one yet so I just picked up that from my library. Will be reading both of those soon.
